The Commercial
Plan Review Process |
|
Six steps to obtaining a
commercial building permit |
|
|
| 1. |
Complete the required application forms and
submit four (4) sets of plans to the City building department. |
| 2. |
Two sets of plans are then sent to the fire
district with a copy of the completed Fire and Life Safety plan review
application. |
| 3. |
After a brief review by the local fire
district, your plans are sent to Cormanny Consulting for a Fire and Life
Safety review. |
| 4. |
In the meantime, the City building department
is reviewing your plans and calculating the project valuation. |
|
Approximately
10 to 14 days later........... |
| 5. |
Your plans are returned and the Fire and Life
Safety plan review fee is applied based on valuation or verified
contract amount. |
| 6. |
The plan review is complete. The
building department will give you a call, and upon payment of your plan
review fees, you will receive your building permit. |
|
Please don't forget, your taxes must be
paid prior to the issuance of a building permit. |
